The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) Maintenance Division plans to replace the bridge over Ross Creek on S-46-711 (Kelly Road), approximately 1.2 miles east of the Town of York in York County.

As part of SCDOT’s routine Bridge Inspection Program, this bridge was rated as structurally deficient.  Due to the relatively low traffic volume, and to minimize the impact to property owners in the area, the road will be closed during this replacement.  The road will be closed on Monday, June 23.  The estimated date of completion is Monday, August 25.

The detour will use S-46-75 (Sutton Springs Road), SC-5 (Liberty Street West), US-321 (Kings Mountain Highway) and S-46-323 (California Street).

For more information, the public may contact District Maintenance Engineer Todd Cook at (803) 377-4155.
