The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) plans to replace the bridge on Wilson Hall Road in Sumter County.

Replacement of the bridge is necessary due to the bridge being structurally deficient.  This bridge is being replaced with a new 70-foot, pre-stressed concrete bridge.  The bridge will be closed on June 9 for approximately 8 weeks.  Pending any delays due to weather conditions or other factors, the bridge should be reopened to traffic by August 1.

Due to the relatively low traffic volumes, and to minimize the construction duration, cost, and impact to property owners in the area, the road will be closed and traffic detoured during construction.  The current plan is for the detour to use roads S-380 (Wise Drive), SC 120 (Alice Drive), and S-1074 (Wesmark Boulevard).
