The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) plans to repair the bridge on Thor Road over Cedar Creek in Lexington County.

The work will include repair of cracked deck panels.  The bridge will be closed on June 9 for approximately 4 weeks.  Pending any delays due to weather conditions or other factors, the bridge should be reopened to traffic by July 3.

Due to the relatively low traffic volumes, and to minimize the construction duration, cost, and impact to property owners in the area, the road will be closed and traffic detoured during construction.  The current plan is for the detour to use roads S-55 (Tindal Road), S-45 (Cedar Creek Road) and SC 302 (Pine Street).
