A public hearing on the US Bypass and SC707/Farrow Parkway Interchange project will be held June 5, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Base Recreation Center, 800 Gabreski lane in Myrtle Beach.

The Thursday, June 5, meeting will have a drop-in format with displays for viewing.  Citizens will have the opportunity to provide written comments; however, a formal presentation will not be given at this meeting.   

The meeting will provide information regarding the US Bypass and SC707/Farrow Parkway proposed interchange project, located at the Backgate of the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.  Input will be solicited from area residents and business owners.  Another purpose of the meeting will be to gather information from the public or any interested organization on historic or cultural resources in the area.  Engineering, Right-of-Way, and Environmental personnel from the SCDOT and SCDOT’s design consultant will be available to answer questions.

Engineering and environmental personnel from the South Carolina Department of Transportation will be available to discuss the project with interested citizens on an individual basis.  Citizens do not need to attend the entire three hour meeting to receive all available information and handouts or to provide comments and input into the project development process.  The meeting will have an informal drop-in type format with displays for viewing.

This project is being paid for by the One Cent Capital Projects Sales Tax for Roads and GSATs.
