The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) plans to repair the bridge on Cherokee Boulevard over Twenty-Five Mile Creek in Kershaw County
Repair of the bridge is to include replacement of deck panels. The bridge will be closed on May 12 for approximately five weeks. Pending delays due to weather, fabricator delays or other issues, the new bridge should be reopened by June 19.
Due to the relatively low traffic volumes and to minimize construction time, cost and impact to property owners in the area, the road will be closed and traffic detoured during construction. The detour will include roads S-386 (Paschal Road), S-385 (Mickle Road), S-1041 (Kelly Mill Road) and S-3040/1051 (Robin Hood Road).
